Sheep Bench (Charcoal Finish)

Fred Clark

The Sheep Bench is British artist Fred Clark’s second piece for Them Outdoors. “I make zoomorphic works which merge functionality with creative expression and draw inspiration from an array of ancient cultures” reflects Fred. “I want to produce furniture that can stand alone as a sculptural object but also be practical. They are rooted in a historic tradition and yet contemporary in their use of materials.”

The sheep are available in either a terracotta or charcoal finish. Two can be used together to make a bench. For an additional cost the bench can have hollows built into them – so they can be used as either planters or as a bench, interchangeably.

The sheep are cast in jesmonite; a stone and cementitious compound that binds various materials such as marble, natural stone, charcoal and terracotta powder. It is a reinforced, lightweight weather resistant material with a lower carbon footprint than resin based alternatives.

The piece is available in different finishes, please enquire for more information. Fred makes limited edition runs of his work, each piece will have its own unique variations.
