Sheep Bench and Planter (Terracotta Finish)

The Sheep Bench and Planter is British artist Fred Clark’s second piece for Them Outdoors. “I make zoomorphic works which merge functionality with creative expression and draw inspiration from an array of ancient cultures” reflects Fred. “I want to produce furniture that can stand alone as a sculptural object but also be practical. They are rooted in a historic tradition and yet contemporary in their use of materials.”

The sheep are available in either a terracotta or charcoal finish. Two back to back become a longer bench or planter, depending on how you choose to position them.

The sheep are cast in jesmonite; a stone and cementitious compound that binds various materials such as marble, natural stone, charcoal and terracotta powder. It is a reinforced, lightweight weather resistant material with a lower carbon footprint than resin based alternatives.
