Sunbeam Jackie

Fan Palm is a hand-drawn steel sculpture by artist duo Charlie and Katy Napier. The piece celebrates form, structure and the generous wonders of the natural world. The work forms one of five pieces from the pair’s new limited edition Flower Power Series, a collection inspired by Italian painter and sculptor Giacomo Balla’s “Futurist Flowers.”

Charlie and Katy are both trained sculptors, and they bring a shared sensibility of form, colour and design to every aspect of their work. The Flower Power series evolved from fluid pencil and charcoal line-drawings, which were then transformed into enigmatic 5mm thick mild steel garden sculptures.

We recommend positioning the sculpture in your garden where the base can be covered with soil or stone, helping to stabilise the artwork and assimilate it into its surroundings.

All pieces are designed, made and finished in Sunbeam Jackie’s Cornwall studio. Cloud Cactus is crafted from mild steel and is designed to rust as it settles into an outdoor space.
